How Merric's Marvelous Peanut Butter Got Started...
Well it all started one day at the cabin. I was having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and I asked mom if I could have another. She said "no" because of all of the sugar. So I asked if I could start my own peanut butter business and make stuff that I would be allowed to eat.
Peanut butter doesn't have to be all sugary and plain.. ugh! After enjoying the rest of my sandwich I decided to write down a bunch of ideas on a piece of paper. Then my mom (an entrepreneur) and my dad (also an entrepreneur) helped me make up a gigantic list of peanut butter ideas. Everything from a restaurant in Georgetown that serves gourmet PB&Js to a food truck. Those are big ideas. I need to save my peanut butter sales money to buy my own food truck in DC.
So I've already started making my peanut butter. Just yesterday we made the first jar for sale! This weekend I'm going to sell it door to door in my neighborhood. I'm on the neighborhood swim team... usually in freestyle.
The first day I plan to spend all of my profits... probably on Nerf Guns. Then after that I will save up my profits. As soon as I have $300 I will go to the food lab with my parents, and the food scientists will tweak my peanut butter and put it in a big jar. Then I can put it in stores. There's my story.
